No mystery, no meter quietly running. Here's exactly what happens between your first phone call and your first hot shower afterwards.
When you call, you talk to someone who works on cylinders — not a booking script. We'll ask what the water's doing, whether the breaker has tripped, and how old the cylinder is if you know. Two useful things happen in that call.
First, if it sounds like something you can safely check yourself — a tripped breaker that's worth one reset, or neighbours also without power — we'll tell you, and it costs you nothing. Second, if it does need a visit, we arrive already knowing the likely suspects, with the right parts on the van.
And if what you describe is clearly a plumbing problem — water on the floor, a dripping relief valve — we'll say so on the phone and save you the call-out entirely. That honesty is most of the reason people pass our number on.
Roughly one visit in ten, our testing shows the electrics are healthy and the problem is on the water side — a weeping tank, a failed tempering valve, sediment issues. When that happens, we don't pad the visit or "have a go" at plumbing work we're not licensed for.
Instead you get a plain-English summary of everything we tested and ruled out, so your plumber starts from our finish line instead of from zero. You pay the standard call-out for the diagnosis and nothing more. Read more about how the electrician/plumber split works.
Fill in the form and we'll come back to you fast — or just call. If you're standing next to a cold cylinder right now, calling is quicker.
